A most intricate and elaborate scale model with 3-1/2" (inside) track dimension. Engine is a 2-6-0 outline with 8 wheel tender. Without a doubt this train was meant to operate as the water tank was in the tender with connection running from rear of engine and a very complex side rod as well as valve system which appear to be intact. Perhaps the engine of the 1860s period with a huge brass lantern affixed above the boiler front and a gargantuan funnel smoke stack typical of this period. Looking in engine cab one can see a number of valves and levers to control the steam, speed and perhaps forward/reversing mechanism. Great attention is paid to all details especially little points that are commonly overlooked in creating a scale model. Included with this engine and tender is its own floor model case.
