In morte della Contessa Marianna Giusti nata Marche­sa Scribante' by Aleardo Aleardi, bound in an antique album with pink velvet cover (cm 25 ×16.5) bearing a golden medallion portrait with epigraph 'An­tonius Grimanus Dux Venet'. Title on laid blue paper applied to the flyleaf. It is an autograph copy of the aforementioned Canto, elegantly written on 17 folii (32 pages recto/verso) of laid paper, 8vo, of the same type. Dedication and dating may be found on the third page: 'AI venturo Pontefice. Aleardo Aleardi. Brescia 15 giugno 1862'. Preceding the manuscript is a two-page letter (one leaf, recto and verso) signed by Giovanni Toffati, who noted down the titles of Aleardo Aleardi's autograph poems in his possession (including this manuscript) when at the date of this letter, 3 October 1864, about one year before the first edition of Aleardi's Canti was published.
