The outstanding ORIGINAL OIL painting is entitled "Vue de L'auberge". It is overwhelming to view and then to know Matta has finished it makes it more beautiful! Its dimensions are 16" X 16" oil on canvas museum size, original piece of art, plus it is in pristine condition and has never been matted mounted or framed. It is accompanied with a signed certificate of authenticity by the artist. BIO : Dion Matta, first generation of Italian decent, was born in 1969, in Montreal, Canada. He currently lives in Sainte-Julie, and works in the financial services industry. Matta develops a style that is similar to impressionnist painters of the 19th century: rich colors, texture and movement, using brush/spatula strokes. A common theme that can be seen in his paintings is the depiction of either rock surfaces or water subjects. Dion Matta shows both of these elements that are existing all around us - a road, an ocean, a building. Calm or moving, water is presented in various tones of blue. His interpretation of beauty is depicted in natural landscape scenaries around the world, often of Italy and France. Matta's vision is to show his audience that painting is a form of communication which relates people to places, at specific times. As a hobby, Dion Matta is continuously refining his art through reading on techniques, painters and trends.
