Description
Lot S102 1934 Ford 3-Window Coupe 350 CI, Automatic For complete information about this lot, see the Mecum Auction Website HERE Year 1934 Make Ford Model 3-Window Body Coupe Exterior Color Burgundy Interior Color Grey Seats Type Engine Size Horsepower Transmission Trans. Speeds Drivetrain Options Stock No. KC1208-76512 In terms of both mechanical and cultural longevity, one of the most durable American cars is without a doubt the Ford three-window coupe. It is difficult to imagine how many stock, drag, custom and rodded examples have been reborn over the generations in driveways, garages and back yards all over America, every one an original bearing the influence of its builder’s personality and preference, which is at the very core of the rodder’s art. This 1934 Ford 3-window coupe is built in the classic style. Based on an original all-steel body, it incorporates many time-honored practices and components. The 34’s clean lines and proportions have been maintained, along with several period details such as the chromed cowl lights, headlights, bumpers and radiator grille, and immaculate Burgundy paint envelopes the beautifully prepped original sheet metal. The interior by Howard is finished in Grey leather and carpets and features skillfully sculpted upholstery that extends to the inside door panels and an overhead console. The choice of running gear reflects the timeless nature of this rod: a 350 CI smallblock ZZ4 engine nestles between the rails in a well-engineered installation that includes an aluminum intake/Holley four-barrel setup, four-into-one headers and plenty of chrome and polish. A Vintage Air AC unit supplies cold air to the cabin, while down amid ship a 350 Turbo-Hydramatic sends power to a Ford 9-inch rear end. The car rides on polished stainless steel springs all around and rolls on the only wheel that’s right for this great machine- Halibrands. Highlights: - 1934 three window coupe - All original Henry Steel - Engine ZZ4 crate motor - Transmission 350 - just rebuilt - Rear-end 9" Ford - Polished stainless steel independent front and TCI rear springs - Vintage air conditioner with heat - Power windows - Power door locks - Leather interior by Howard - Classic gauges - Halibrand wheels Photos, materials for videos, descriptions and other information for the lot depicted on this page are provided by the consigner to Mecum Auction and have not been verified by Mecum Auction.
